The main compartment includes a back wall zipper pocket for smaller items you want separate as well as a removable key ring. There is ample room for all your necessary items with the open pocket concept such as a water bottle, small book, or a few maps.
The front pocket consists of a cell phonePDA pocket and a pen sleeve. As well there is open space for a few medium sized items such as a camera or a small day planner.
There is a smaller zipper pocket located near the top of the bag that is about half the depth of the bag and is good for your keys or items you want easily accessible.
On the rear exterior there is a secure back pocket. This is an excellent place to store your wallet andor passport since it sits against your back and no one else can get to it but you.
